Pharmacoepidemiology of antimicrobials
FAETON
"FAETON" is a retrospective cross-sectional analytical study of the patterns of drug prescribing in adult outpatients with acute tonsillopharyngitis (ATP). There will be from 8 to 10 sites from all over the Russian Federation included in the study, in the course of which outpatients' medical files will be analyzed, and case report forms will be filled in for every case of ATP. At every site, 4 randomly chosen outpatient clinics are expected to participate in the study. Centralized statistical analysis of the obtained data will be performed with the help of a specially designed computer program.

There will be from 8 to 10 sites from all over the Russian Federation included in the study, in the course of which outpatients' medical files will be analyzed, and case report forms will be filled in for every case of AOM. Centralized statistical analysis of the obtained data will be performed with the help of a specially designed computer program.

There will be from 8 to 10 sites from all over the Russian Federation included in the study, in the course of which outpatients' medical files will be analyzed, and case report forms will be filled in for every case under analysis. At every site, 4 randomly chosen outpatient clinics are expected to participate in the study. Centralized statistical analysis of the obtained data will be performed with the help of a specially designed computer program.

Pharmacoepidemiological researches in pediatrics
ASPECT - 2001
"ASPECT - 2001" is a multicentre cross-sectional retrospective study of prescribing patterns and habits of antihistamine and antiallergic drugs by various health care professionals in pediatric hospitals and outpatient departments. The study will be carried out in 10 centers all over the territory of Russia. There will be 500 case report forms filled in every center (300 cards in 3 outpatient clinics and 200 cards in 2 pediatric inpatient departments). The choice of outpatient clinics from the list of them obtained from every center will be centralized. As to hospitals, the preference will be given to the allergic and pulmonological pediatric departments. In case there are none in the center, 2 somatical departments will be chosen. Patients' medical files will be analyzed and in case they satisfy the inclusion criteria, case report forms will be filled in. Altogether there will be 100 forms filled in every chosen outpatient clinic and inpatient department. The number of analyzed medical files and filled case report forms will be registered in "the center register". All the data will be given to the study coordinator for statistical analysis.
