UTIAP antimicrobial susceptibility study of the uncomplicated acute urinary tract infection pathogens
In 1998 299 gram-negative causative agents of the acute uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTI) were assembled from the 4 Russian centers in Moscow (2 centers), Smolensk and Novosibirsk.
Received strains were evaluated for the suceptibility to 10 antimicrobials commonly used for the treatment of UTI: ampicillin, gentamicin, trimethoprim, co-trimoxazole, nitrofurantoin, pipemidic and nalidixic acids, niroxolin, norfloxacin and ciprofloxacin.
Proceeded data will be published in the Information Bulletin and journals.
