To Helena, Masha, Katya and all the rest of Leonid's family and all of our friends at the Institute:
We are deeply grieving at the loss of our dear friend and colleague Leonid Solomonovich. There can be no reason that we understand why he was taken away at such a young age. However, what he did on a personal and professional basis can never be taken away and in this way his memory will live for ever. He can never be replaced but the doundation that he laid can and must eb well and truly built on.
May the Almighty comfort you all in this terrible and tragic time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
